PHIN COFFEE is born to share the connection of the Vietnamese coffee culture with everyone. We believe that there is so much goodness rooted in Vietnamese coffee, it's only right the magic is shared with the world.
PHIN COFFEE is founded by Steven Nguyen, a Vietnamese migrant in Sydney who was born and raised in Vietnam.
As a coffee enthusiast, Steven has been working in the coffee industry in Australia with extensive experience and strong passion. Growing up with Vietnamese coffee given it’s an integral part of Vietnamese culture, Steven founded Phin Coffee upon realising he couldn’t find authentic, high quality Vietnamese coffee in Australia. Since then, he has put all of his obsessive expertise into sourcing, capturing the nuances and flavors of the perfect Vietnamese coffee.
The word “Phin” in PHIN COFFEE is synonymous with Vietnamese coffee culture. To us, coffee is not just a delicious cup or a caffeine fix — it's a way of life. Vietnamese people love to enjoy the process of making coffee slowly, using the traditional Vietnamese Phin filter. We believe enjoying this thoughtful coffee ritual is like how we should be when it comes to life: taking the time to savour every important moment in life.
Our premium beans are directly sourced from coffee farms in Vietnam's Central Highlands, harvested in rich volcanic mountain soil and the perfect climate
We strive to build long-term relationships from origin to cup, with the aim to help build a sustainable future for all. We give a proportion of our sales back to Vietnam to help the children and community to contribute to a positive change.
To ensure quality and freshness, we roast in small batches with care in our Sydney roastery.
